Outbrain is looking for an Editor and Writer to join our content team. We are looking for an exceptional writer and editor who is organized, quick, hands-on, and experienced in delivering excellent content on deadline. This candidate should have experience with all forms of writing — CTAs, web copy, blogs, articles, case studies, white papers, video scripts, technical writing, infographics, and speeches. Ghostwriting experience is an added plus. Additionally, this candidate should have a solid understanding of hot-button topics and trends within digital media, AdTech, MarTech, B2B Marketing, and experience writing for personas.
The ideal candidate is someone who brings creative ideas to the table but is also willing to execute on others’ creative visions. It is important to note that we aren’t looking for someone who will just churn out SEO-driven copy (although there will be some of that too). Nor are we interested in candidates who use writing to primarily further their own platform. We want someone who is a true wordsmith and editor (and enjoys this role) who can work with multiple global stakeholders to deliver on some of our 2017 plans.

As the world’s largest content discovery platform, serving over 200 billion content recommendations a month around the globe and delivering results for the thousands of brands and publishers using our products everyday, we think we have a pretty good shot.
Added pluses for this position are basic design skills (Photoshop, InDesign, Canva, Camtasia), as you may occasionally need to create creative assets for blog posts in a pinch. Additionally, experience with WordPress and SEO best practices.

Experience using Google Analytics to measure content performance.

Ability to weave a narrative out of new events and/or data.
Thrives in change — adaptive and flexible to a quickly changing work environment.
Minimum 5 years of experience in a professional writing/editing position
Knowledge of AdTech, MarTech and a keen understanding of the digital landscape
Highly organized and skilled at project management
Portfolio of both short-form and long-form copy
