Account Manager - Publishers - Based Munich

We are seeking commercial and tech savvy Account Managers to work in our highly successful DACH publisher team, taking responsibility for managing and supporting publisher relationships. The Account Managers will work on all operational and strategic aspects to ensure delivery and performance, including technical set up, monitoring, analysis, up-selling and retention, to help clients and Outbrain reach their objectives.

We are market leader and one of the fastest growing tech & media companies in Germany and are working with Axel Springer, Spiegel, Focus, Burda, Condé Nast and many other premium publishers. We also work with brands, such as Adidas, Audi, BMW, P&G, Porsche, L´Oreal, Red Bull, Samsung, Volkswagen, Zalando and their agencies, to drive engagement with their own content and amplify their positive earned media.

Deliverables: What you will achieve

Your first year should look like this:

●    In your first month, you should find your bearings, get to know your team, do a deep dive into our Engage products and start to build key relationships externally.

●    After three months, you’ll have mastered our technology and tools and you’ll be building on new business opportunities via optimisation, cross selling and upselling. Additionally, you’ll feedback to product management on features that would provide partners with additional value.

●    By the end of your first year, you’ll be an essential part of the German Account Management team, using your knowledge and expertise to provide first class support and account management to our publisher clients, whilst also using your strategic insight and learnings from the environment, to further become an external evangelist of content marketing across the web.

We are looking for evidence of:

  • 2 to 5 years experience within the digital industry

  • Experience with partner management and online ad tech is a plus

  • Ability and desire to interface with clients both remotely and face to face to provide timely, consistent and accurate support and account management

  • Possess a technical aptitude and a desire to learn the intricacies of the Outbrain system and to leverage that knowledge to help clients with support issues

  • Strong communication, presentation, analytical and relationship building skills

  • Ability to interpret data and trends to derive valuable insights and make recommendations

  • A knowledge of the technology and online media landscape

  • Fluent in German and English
