Account Executive, Programmatic - Zemanta

Zemanta, an Outbrain company, is seeking a motivated Account Executive ready to make a difference in the fast-growing content marketing space. This person will act as a conduit for a high number of businesses of all shapes & sizes, from small companies to larger brands & agencies who are using content to tell their story and deliver measurable results.  Our team is made up of individuals who are resourceful, bright, and proactive, and who work well both independently and as part of a fast-growing team.



For this position we are committed to finding a highly organized individual who will be responsible for generating new business revenue strictly from inbound leads, no cold calling required.


Your first year should look like this:

-In your first month, you should find your bearings, do a deep dive into the Zemanta SaaS platform, and start to build key internal relationships. You will also start assisting on customer calls and helping to close deals!

-After three months, you will be an expert in programmatic native advertising and content marketing and you’ll have mastered our positioning within the digital landscape. You’ll be able to confidently and effectively deliver the Zemanta message.

-After six months, you will have successfully helped dozens and dozens of brands & agencies sign up for the Zemanta platform and start mastering the programmatic native advertising and content marketing landscape.

-When you finish up your first year, you’ll be an essential part of the Zemanta Sales Team, have visibility across the company and be sharing the knowledge you’ve accrued.


What you’ll need to be successful:

-Your top priority as a salesperson is exceeding your goal

-You have 1+ years of inside sales experience or 2+ years of outbound SDR (sales development rep) experience - 

-You have excellent verbal & written communication skills

-You’re always trying to improve yourself, professionally & personally

-You have a strong customer focus

-You’re a problem solver and are not easily discouraged

-You’re not bothered by repetition

-You’re open to new ideas and thrive off collaboration

-You enjoy helping your teammates succeed as much as you enjoy your own success

-You’re an analytical thinker with the ability to identify trends & common patterns


Nice to have:

-Experience using a CRM, specifically Salesforce

-Digital marketing and/or digital advertising experience

-Experience closing inbound marketing leads
