We are looking for a Senior Account Manager to strengthen our Agency Sales Team, here in London.

YOUR PROFILE

As a senior account manager, you will lead and support the agency account managers as they prepare, launch, optimize and evaluate campaigns for our agency clients.

You will guide and help the team’s advertisers to reach their goals in digital marketing with Outbrain. You will work with your performance sales team but also knowledge-share and develop working strategies with international and UK colleagues in Sales and Account Management. You will meet your customers and initiate up-sell initiatives with advertisers across UK and Northern Europe Media Agencies.

You are analytically and technically gifted, creative and quick to problem solve for clients and colleagues alike. You are calm and measured, under pressure and already a minimum of 3 years’ AM experience at a Media Owner or Platform. You are very familiar or an expert within the programmatic space and want to be part of the evolving Native programmatic world.

YOUR TASKS IN DETAIL

  • You support the daily business of the Agency Sales team
  • You test the material of clients and agencies in advance of a campaign as well as their possibilities. You offer further strategy suggestions for optimum campaign performance.
  • You are responsible for overseeing the team’s launch and performance of campaigns and their optimization
  • You provide deep data analysis of the metrics and identify, recommend and implement optimizations to increase the performance of campaigns
  • You have an excellent manner with our clients - as well as negotiation skills to find and implement upweight opportunities
  • You feel at home in online marketing and can use your knowledge efficiently
  • You have excellent communication skills on the phone, by email or personal meetings
  • You are approachable and supportive. You make yourself readily available to the team when necessary, and are always happy to ‘muck in’ and lead by example.   

 

YOUR FIRST YEAR

In your first month, you'll meet your team and work closely with the Head of Agency Sales to understand and build your key relationships inside and outside Outbrain.

This first month will also see you complete necessary product online training and get under the hood of our technology and tools. You will have weekly sessions with Technical Account Management to develop your understanding of Outbrain’s capabilities – and feedback the ever-evolving asks of our clients.

After three months, you will already know and master the tools and our technology, be integrated in the team as well as with customers and be familiar with UK Agencies. 

At the end of your first year, you will be an important part of Outbrain: as a valued colleague in our fast-growing team and as an expert in content and performance marketing!

Your knowledge and expertise will help you support your team and customers in all aspects. In addition, you work closely with our product management team to work together to develop new features that will further develop your field for your customers. 

ABOUT YOU

  • You have a minimum of 3 years’ account management experience in the digital industry
  • Proven success working as part of a team
  • Mentoring experience, if not management, is required.
  • You have an expert understanding of the all online marketing key figures, reporting metrics, delivery and analysis.
  • Strong technical understanding of analytics & attribution platforms such as Google Analytics, Omniture, Eulerian (any other big UK names)
  •  Strong understanding of the competitive digital landscape across Search, Social, Native and Display - including at a programmatic level.
  • You have experience and prove results in sales and upselling
  • Knowledge of HTML and CSS is a real plus, to help understand Outbrain systems and support your customers, but not mandatory.
  • Excellent analytical skills and an affinity for data and trends
  • Extremely well organized, have a quick view and can deal with stressful situations well
  • You are "outbrainy", ie always open to new things and go forward with positive and determined challenges.
