We are seeking an energetic, experienced Account Manager to support and contribute to our Chicago Enterprise Account Management team. You’ll work closely with the team to support and lead the success of our clients who are driven by efficiencies and Cost-Per-Acquisition goals, where their marketing activity is centered around showing a demonstrable ROI per campaign. You’ll provide thought leadership on content amplification strategies and optimizations. You’ll build strong relationships and establish clear lines of communication with clients, partners, and internal team members.

The ideal candidate is an enjoyable and energetic self-starter, proactive and committed to driving performance and creating new business opportunities by using analytical and problem-solving capabilities to assure flawless campaign execution. The Outbrain Enterprise Account Management team enjoys getting in the weeds and using data to inform campaign strategy and recommendations while taking a hands-on approach from start to finish with every campaign.

The successful applicant will be able to fulfill the following tasks:

 

Campaign Management 

 

  • Manage the operational day-to-day of Outbrain campaigns including setup, adding images & headline copy, adding tracking & analytics to ensure successful delivery of ad inventory
  • Monitor campaign performance, make optimizations to improve results and communicate changes to clients
  • Ensure client success through proactive support of the client’s objectives to hit their conversion goals (CPA)
  • Master Outbrain’s platform and internal tools to be able to make technical changes rapidly and effectively

 

Strategizing and Consulting

 

  • Deliver campaign insight and strategy for clients to truly understand the value of their Outbrain campaigns
  • Communicate with clients by email and phone to offer strategic advice on optimizations to improve campaign performance, providing daily, weekly and end-of-campaign reporting to clients to demonstrate the value of Outbrain’s products
  • Work closely with clients to fully understand the goals and KPIs they wish to achieve and then ensure Outbrain’s strategy and technical setup is aligned to these
  • Work across multiple reporting systems to uncover meaningful insights and present these in a consumable format
  • Upsell current clients with additional Outbrain products such as Audience Lookalikes, Retargeting, KPI Optimization, and B2B targeting

  • Able to work effectively as part of a team and liaise across multiple stakeholders (both internal and external) to achieve objectives
  • A great communicator who can respond quickly in a fast-moving environment

 

Your first year should look like this: 

In your first month, you should find your bearings, get to know your team, do a deep dive into our Amplify tools and train on them and start to build key relationships within Outbrain and with some existing clients

After three months, you’ll have mastered our technology and tools as well as built great relationships and trust with the Account Management & Sales team and clients

By the end of your first year, you’ll be an essential part of the Account Management team and the wider US team, using your knowledge and expertise to identify upsell opportunities within your book of business, and strategically partner with your clients by providing them with first class support to help deliver successful campaigns.

 
To be successful, you will have:

 

  • 2-3 years experience in an account management role – selling or supporting a digital solution
  • Experience in upselling to clients
  • Excel and analytics platform (such as Tableau) experience highly valued
  • An understanding of the digital marketing landscape
  • Great communication skills – over the phone, via email, in client meetings & presentations
