Outbrain’s recommendation system is powered by a data pipeline that allows it to produce and analyze tens of billions of events per day.
Outbrain’s Data Infrastructure team is looking for strong, talented developers, with broad technical experience who want to create solutions for cross data-center, massive scale problems and help us take our infrastructure to the next level as Outbrain’s needs keep growing.
The working environment and company culture in Outbrain allow our developers to expand their knowledge and expertise, so you will be part of a team that would love to teach you and learn from you on multiple domains and catapult your personal growth. You will have the opportunity to work in an advanced, continuously integrated and deployed environment and become proficient with many industry-leading technologies such as Kafka, Spark, Hadoop, Hive, Cassandra and Elastic Stack.
What Will You Do?
You will take part in developing our real time distributed data delivery infrastructure, to provide a massive scale data hub that transfers tens of billions of messages per day from producers to consumers within the company. You will pursue the challenges of creating a production grade infrastructure of an immense scale on multiple datacenters. The core of this infrastructure is already open sourced to GitHub, and we're planning on open sourcing other components as we go along.
In addition, you'll create and develop our batch and real time data processing infrastructure, which enables all other R&D engineers in Outbrain to process terabytes of data per day in a distributed manner. We're in the process of building the next generation of our streaming infrastructure, and there are a lot of exciting and complex challenges for you to address.
